DMCA & Takedown

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1. Our position

spkeep is a tool, not a content library. It converts audio from public X Spaces on demand — including for hosts archiving their own Spaces — and does not maintain a public catalog of audio. We respect copyright, and we expect users to download only content they have the right to download (see our Terms of Service).

Because files are generated on demand and automatically deleted within 2 hours, most material processed by the service is already gone by the time a complaint could be reviewed. The process below exists for anything still within that window, and for share links pointing at it.

2. How to file a takedown notice

If you are a rights holder (or authorized to act for one) and believe the service has processed infringing material, send a notice to our designated agent, Theresa W Chavez, at [email protected] including:

For formal service by post, email us first at the same address and we will provide a mailing address.

  1. identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed;
  2. the spkeep link(s) to the material (share link, download link, or Space ID) so we can locate it;
  3. your name and a way to contact you (email is enough);
  4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
  5. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

3. What happens next

On receiving a valid notice, we will promptly remove the cached file (if it still exists) and the corresponding share page.

Repeat infringers: we keep a record of valid notices. If the same IP address (or the same submitted link) is the subject of two or more valid notices, we will block that IP address from using the service and remove any related files and share pages. A blocked user may contact us at the address above to appeal.

4. Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address identifying the material, stating under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and providing your contact details. We will restore availability of the material where the law requires it, unless the original complainant informs us that court action has been filed.

5. Misuse warning

Knowingly filing a false takedown notice can carry legal liability. Please make sure your notice is accurate before sending it.
