Short version: spkeep requires no account, sets no cookies of its own, runs no app-level analytics, shows no ads, and does not profile you. To enforce fair-use limits, each download temporarily records your IP address together with the job (link and format); those records are deleted when the file is deleted, within 2 hours. This page explains exactly what happens to the little data the service does touch.
When you submit a Space or tweet link, our server uses that link to resolve the Space and fetch its audio stream, then converts it to the format you chose. To do this, the link is necessarily sent to X’s servers as part of resolving the Space, and your traffic passes through our CDN provider, Cloudflare, for security and caching (their respective privacy policies apply to their own processing).
For each download we create a temporary job record containing the submitted link, the requested format, and your IP address. The IP address is used only to enforce rate limits (currently 10 downloads per hour and 50 per day per IP, one concurrent download per IP). Generated audio files are automatically deleted after 2 hours, and their job records are deleted during the same routine cleanup. Per-IP rate-limit counters are held in memory only and expire within 24 hours (the daily window). When human verification is required, your IP address is also sent to Cloudflare to validate the challenge. Records are never sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
Three things are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only — they are never sent to us except as part of a download you explicitly request:
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser settings; the site keeps working without it.
We do not set any cookies ourselves. Our CDN provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse, including for the Turnstile human-verification challenge; such security cookies do not require consent under EU/UK rules.
The site offers an optional advanced fallback where you may paste your own X cookies or an m3u8 link if guest-mode resolution fails. Anything you paste there is used only for that single request, held in memory, and never written to disk or logged. We recommend leaving it empty unless guest mode fails.
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, and to object to its processing. Because we have no accounts, the only data that could identify you is the IP address in a recent job record or rate-limit counter. To make a request, email [email protected] with the IP address and approximate time of your downloads so we can locate the records; we will delete them early on a valid request. In any case, all such records expire on their own within 24 hours at most. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We may update this policy from time to time; the version published on this page applies from the date shown above.
